Fuse

Fuse is a safety device used for the purpose of protecting a circuit against excess current.

In the event of excess current, the fuse element melts and open up the circuit there by protecting it from damage.

Fuses open the circuit to prevent the high currents cause by the short circuits from causing damage.

Fuses are able to: Sense when short circuit exist, Open the circuit before damage is done, No effect while normal operation

The materials are used in fuses are tin, lead, zinc, silver, antimony, copper, aluminum

Type: Rewireable type, Cartridge type
